At Sacred Heart parish, we have a group called the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. This group represents another part of social ministry: aid to those in need. The Society is a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.We meet twice a month, on the first and third Monday of each month at 7 pm. The meetings are only about an hour long. We get to know each other and are very supportive of one another. The organization is financially separate from the parish and raises money to distribute to people in emergency financial situations.
We collaborate with the Sacred Heart Center in this work. If someone needs help they call the Sacred Heart Center first at 804-801-5066. Then the staff at the Center sends the information to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
