First Communion (Eucharist)
The Eucharist is the “source and summit” of our Christian life; it is what gives us life and leads us to our heavenly home. The faithful who receive the Eucharist participate with the whole Church in our Lord’s sacrifice once for all.
Requirements for First Communion
- Parents wishing to have their child/children receive their first communion at Sacred Heart Church must be members of the parish.
- The child must at least be in 2nd grade and have been baptized.
First Communion Preparation
Candidates for first communion must attend preparation classes before making their first communion. Preparation classes are available in both Spanish and English.
